ah yes, the manga where they still have no chemistry together. It is true that the anime have more Ichigo x Rukia scenes, but even if you take those out Inoue still manages to have more chemistry with EVERYONE except Ichigo.
And the thing is: It's solely Kubo fault. Every time Ichigo is on the panel, Inoue behaves in a totally weird way. When she's with Uryu for example (or any other character where the dialog does not revolve around Ichigo), she behaves normally and is able to have her moments and translate more as a character than being a lovebird.
(and let's not even talk about the semi-kiss scene, Kubo himself did Inoue dirty)
The chemistry in the anime AND manga was far stronger between Rukia and Ichigo. Orihime barely even talks to Ichigo, she just starts fawning over him halfway into the series and it honestly kills her character.
EDIT: Also, saying she only starts fawning over him "halfway into the series" is WILD when she's already talking about him and has him on her mind WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before then. Rukia doesn't really see him as a love interest and never has. She sees him more as a comrade in arms and it's like that the whole way through.
Honestly, she behaves more like a bro to Ichigo and busts his balls more than even his REAL bros do, lol.
You said it yourself. The answer is in your reply.
You know the truth... the hard, bitter truth is that the reason 'dumb shippers' are crying 10+ years later is because it's obvious to everyone that Ichigo and Rukia had way better chemistry.
If this wasn't true then people would have moved on. Simple as.
I only see one person here crying. Crying over other people perspective of fictional characters, guess who? Alas, next time try using an argument instead of personal attacks.
tourist = not D-riding every decision made by the autor?? I see. You are only a TRUE Bleach fan if you have no critical thinking at all and can't see that people can view the same thing in a variety of ways.
