Red stringy artifacts and the "glow"
Anyone else got problems with a red "glow" around character like some sort of bad AA filter ? From what I learned testing some stuff myself lowering to low on textures makes it less visible but it's still there, using high textures makes it really show, specially in the evening story scenes, around the background and also the characters.

Anyone found a fix for this?

If you are encountering a red screen, please try the following solution.

Please change the display quality from [Automatically select on Windows] to [High performance] in the Application options (graphics basic settings)

this is not even for the problem I guess we are having. Currently I am trying to see if has something to do with anisotropic filtering because as I said in my first post, lowering textures to low helps this issue but it's still there.

nope false alarm, it maybe helped a tiny bit using 16x filtering but it did not fix the problem.

Update ; Apperently lower res then 4k helped me abit with the problem. I think it's because of my Ultrawide wanting to use wide but can't so something strange going on when I switch to 4k in this game, I tried 1440p and it worked better, So far in windowed mode tho. I'll keep update if I find out something else.

Update again, So ye it's window mode for me that works, if I use borderless or fullscreen the red glow/lines comes out. I wonder could it be a Gsync issue?

Yeh what worked for me was setting resolution to 2560 X 1440 and set it to window mode removed the red outline and then I used borderless gaming to make it full screen
I just set the graphics down a click. Seems to have fixed it.

Ye that also works, well specific for me was putting textures to low helped it abit, but it was still there. But using window mode and putting it down to 1440p res even on high textures made the ugly things go away.

I have the same thing going on with my ultrawide. Only thing that sucks is I can see my desktop background still while in windowed mode.

Ye No matter what I have to use windowed to not get the red thingy around textures. I tried everything I can think off with no fix. I'm confused why it's only in borderless and fullscreen.

What I'm thinking it could be something to do with it is that somehow the game does not like when it's getting "squished" to fit the screen and it has like a red filter behind everything in the scene and that is what's comming out in the seams of the textures when using any other then windowed mode.

And the background I guess as we got ultrawide atleast we can fill it with other usefull things like discord and youtube on the side if not just using a black background screen ^^
I have the same problem. Using ultrawide monitor 3440x1440p, gameplay is on fullscreen but menu and cutscenes are with black bars. Game runs good on borderless window, but how force game to be with black bars not with stretched. Help.
Game still has red lines even after the update
