What is the latest situation?

the update made it so my game no longer instantly crashes

There was a patch, but for me going to the training character menu the character models didn't show, only silhouettes and it crashed when I pressed back to get to main menu. So still doesn't look good on my end.

Yesterday I was able to get the game run like it should by changing locale format to Japanese on my Windows, none of the other fixes people were saying worked for me. I'm sure it still does the trick for me.

Are you playing the game with the region and language set to Japanese or as you normally do?

i can tell you so far what i expirienced:
game crashes alots even if you wana stream to someone on discord it will crash the game and discord aswell, sound bug is still there, i main nelliel and for some reason she keeps gething stuck in certain animations when i press L2 for specials, like she keeps missing her ultimate somehow on soifon, not allowing for special moves to be used during combos she will just ignore your inputs and oh good inputs feel delayed aswell, and online play you just cant find a match unless you do room match, for a long time fan in current state i cant recommand the game untill its fixed currently the game is a big mess so i just suggest waithing.

I never had any issues in the first place, but my buddy from EU stopped having issues after the patch. Btw this game does not appear to be cross region, since he couldn't find my room until he used a vpn set to the US and restarted the game

For me I just needed to change the format, and not language. But this release is a mess so not surprised if some have to change the language too.

I've been running my PC with region, timezone, and Windows language all in Japanese and it doesn't make a difference, tbh

it'll crash either way because Tamsoft let intern-kun handle the PC port

Did you set the option BELOW region to japanese? thats what actually matters, if that doesnt work it probably isnt the games fault, because it worked for the majority of people

literally EVERYTHING was in Japanese and it still crashed, lol

it's just a bad port

It's freaking wierd. I for one have only issues with the audio not launching with the game occasionally. But my friend for example can't even play due to crashes. Japanese locale or not. Funny enough it's working for him on the steamdeck.

So it still doesn't work normally but if you set the language in Windows to Japanese everything works normally you don't need to restart the PC to start the game afterwards
