Don't do it. The Story Mode is subpar at best. Online Mode is currently unplayable because of PC region lock, bad netcode & low player numbers. Stay away until they fix these issues or wait for a sale.

Some people love story mode and the Extra Secret Stories.
Region lock is only an issue if you want to play room matches against different region ppl, and even then you can fix it by changing steam download region.
Free play online finds matches around 2 mins wait time....
Netcode is actually surprising good, I used to play only yellow+ connections, but even 2-3 bar reds are extremely playable.

I'm enjoying the Story Mode for what it is, but a lot of corners were cut. They aimed to recreate the entire story of Bleach leading up to the end of the Arrancar Saga, but by doing this I believe they stretched themselves too thin. Overall, it is the worse way to experience the story of Bleach. What comes to mind are the stiff animations, the recycling of the same character models for the generic soul reapers, hollows, & background areas, characters missing in action like Ichigo's sisters, Urahara's helpers, & 5/8 of the Vizards, & the lackluster boss fights... I think the devs did the best they could with what they were tasked, but I still wish they would've taken the Naruto Storm route where they would cover smaller chunks of the story with each new entry even if that would've meant cutting the character roster. The first Naruto Storm game only had 25 playable characters & this game has 33. This way, they would've been able to put more care in the Story Mode by allocating more of their budget into those smaller chunks of the story.

I have no complaints about the Secret Stories thus far. They are a good bonus to the game.

I'm glad you have a good experience with online. I wish I could say the same for myself. Online for me is awful. What you mentioned about changing the region download sounds like a workaround and not a fix in an attempt to play in more populated areas... It doesn't fix the core problem of low player numbers + bad netcode that make it more difficult to find lobbies with good connection. I have a perfect 5 green bar connection with ethernet at all times, but there is still a noticeable delay that even allows for infinite combos from what I've experienced & read online. Games where my opponent has a yellow, or God forbid a red connection, are completely unplayable because of the lag.

just for the record. I do not really care about story. i just want to play this game with friends but only if the game is not broken on pc. I heard on consoles is fine but my friends do not have a console.

I see. If it's to play with friends then I suppose it's fine for you to get the game as long as you & your friends have a stable connection. I recommend testing the game out with your friends as soon as you start playing. If the connection is not to your liking, then you can get a refund before the 2 hour mark. Remember to always use ethernet when playing these type of games for the best experience.

You don't. I LOVE Bleach, I uninstalled the game after finishing the tutorial. This one just is not it. I wish it was, but hell no. Arena fighters have been tired out for a while, it's why Sparking Zero fell off so quickly after launch. Anime games need something new. They decided to do the same old thing and make a boring generic Arena fighter with this, except they decided to make the controls and movement extra awkward. No idea who thought it was a good idea, but boy oh boy were they wrong.

Maybe one day we will get a good Bleach game, but I won't hold my breath

Sounds to me you didn't give the game a fair chance? The game isn't an arena fighter like many people say. It's a 3D fighting game that plays similarly to Guilty Gear -STRIVE- because of it's fighting mechanics & the game has a unique konpaku mechanic that's there for better or worse.. The game has its flaws, but it s nowhere near bad.
