You can choose not to romance a guy just like in real life, it's not like adding some inclusivity would make the whole game gay, it's just for the people that want to.

I always got the impression that Kanji from P4 was intended to be a LI at some point in development, the mental gymnastics in the conversation with his shadow self in order to avoid admitting he was attracted to men were truly impressive.

At the age of 15 in a small town in a relatively conservative country, it is understandable that he wouldn't want to admit to being bisexual even to himself.

It was because he was a atypical male and a lot of his harsher personality could be seen as "Compensating". Something MANY teenagers experience and especially detransitioners.

Ultimately he doesn't know if he is gay and frankly I think they should keep it that way.
