Game crashes as soon as the game data gets created
Hey guys, I just bought P5R and wanted to play it, but my issue is that the game closes itself as soon as it comnes to the creation of the system data. I treid all the troubleshooting stuff I found on reddit and YoutTube and it still won't work. Does anyone else have these Issues? I saw another post about it here that never got resolved bc the OG poster never posted his CPU.

Mine is Intel Core 5.

I had no issues playing Persona 3 Reload with the game pass, so i figured P5R shouldn't be a problem as well, but it seems to be. I hope anyone can help, bc I really wanna play P5r.

Maybe Denovu is causing problems. Try disabling your antivirus and running the game as admin.

Hi, i'd be happy to help figure this out with you, if you like.

First thing, is if you could give a quick list of the things you've tried? Just makes it a bit easier and makes sure that we don't repeat things that don't work. I have a few ideas of things that do cause this issue, but want to make sure before asking you to try things.

I will be up front and say that it likely isn't Denuvo, as since that is something we all have in common, owning the game, it would be an issue that everyone has. So that leads to thinking it is at least something else interacting that is the cause.

I tried verifiying the file integrity, i turned off antivirus, I ran the game as admin, I installed the latest drivers for my gpu, restarting my pc, deactivating my firewall for the game specifically, went offline mode in steam and treid to start ist. That's basically it. I am no computer genius but I treid my best :'D
I think my CPU is the problem. It's Intel Core i5 760 and as far as I know, it does not support AVX and I think that is the problem

That definitely could be a possibility. I apologize, I don't have a similar CPU to test with so I can't verify myself or test.

That is actually a lot, thank you, more that a lot of people do, and does help a lot in pin-pointing possible issues.

It may be a bit of a longshot, but one of the few things I've seen cause this error in other games, is when the folder permissions for the games save folder are off or different then they should be. Basically the game doesn't have permission to write to the folder needed to save the game.

Defintely, no worries. :) Go here:

"C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Roaming\SEGA\P5R\Steam\<Steam ID Number>\"

and inside that folder is the savedata folder. if you right click the folder, and go to 'Properties", you can fist check that it's not "Read Only" at the bottom.

The, click the "Security" tab, and click on both your user name as well as on "Administrators" in the user list, and below, make sure that they have all permissions checked.

We can go from there if need be. :)
Yeah I just tried that, did sadly not work :(

Sorry to hear that. :( OK, will keep looking for things to try. :)
I would just refund at this point before it gets too late to do so.

Sorry to say, but with a CPU without AVX support, it's not going to work I'm afraid.
but why did persona 3 reload work then? it's a newer game and technically it shouldn't have worked if the older game crashes and stuff
can you download a save at the start and just go from there?

took less time to google that than it likely took you to reply. you could also ask and im sure someone would take time and make one for you.

Tried that, did not work. Googled if there might be Systemdata Files for download, there aren't or I didn't find them I dunno. By now I am 100 Percent sure that my CPU is the problem, but still thanks for all the helpful comments! If someone has another Idea I am willing to try that as well
