Game keeps not loading after the take your time screen

Whenever I load the game, it'll load through the take your time screen and then it'll stay black, boot me out of full screen, and wont progress past that point. I can't play the rest of the game and I am really bummed out about that so do any of you know if theres a fix to this? I dont think its my specs cause I was able to play through all of the kamoshida arc so I don't think thats it.
