Game suddenly started crashing.

Hello, I have close to 100 hours on the game was in the Casino palace and it suddenly crashed while accessing the velvet room. Now it wont event start. clicking the application shows the black screen for a bit then closes the application.

Edit: I restricted P5R.exe access to internet with firewall like some comments mentioned and can launch the game again.

you can check in your library when the last update was. there was no patch. it must be either denuvo or something the devs have internally that tries to connect to their server even if you have thieves guild turned off

I did notice that earlier it notified me that the game was having issues connecting to some server. I hit continue and the game kept running, so you might be on to something.

game was running fine and then out of nowhere it crashed for me and wont start up as well, is this medjeds doing? XD

also it's true that the game launches just fine if you completely turn off your internet, so...

Yeah if only if there's a rollback button somewhere.................
Steam doesn't really separates game version and you'll always get the most up to date version from fresh installs so uh, just have to wait Atlus sort it out.

Can confirm this solved it for me, after launching successfully I could then re-enable my internet and connect to the thieves guild from the options menu too (don't know if there'll be any stability issues from whatever the issue is though).
