If you're going 90s style and going text-only, you'll blast through it.
Edit: I was only fast forwarding to the point where I rebooted, so going normal speed from end of summer vacation and forward. Just regretted a choice I made.
FYI: I have never completed it, so I am playing blindly onwards.
I don’t speed run or skip everything.
I suppose if you skip everything you could do it all in half the time easily.
So you barley played the game then, maxing 5 confidants is pretty much passive progression.
Just 5 ??
To get to true ending you need to max 3 socials (or close to) at least which makes me think you're speedrunning this game with a guide on the side....
I wouldn't call that "beating the game" but rather "speedrunning it to the barest minimal so you can go on the steam forums to bait"... good job on that :P
Either way, combat can take up as much time as a person wants depending on how much they want to engage with it. On easy you don't have to engage with the combat mechanics much at all nor for long at all. On modded hard or merciless, engagement is required and fights will take longer.
5 out of 21 confidants maxed? Man your playthrough must have been really through.
