snuff soul in Kamoshida's palace?

On an old playthrough I very specifically remember earning a snuff soul (50 SP heal) at some point before facing down Kamoshida. Used it during the boss fight too.

So I did a new playthrough and went through all of Kamoshida's palace and couldn't find it this time. I'm not entirely sure where I earned it. I checked the whole place over again just to make sure I didn't miss anything. I checked wikis and they all say you can't earn snuff souls in Kamoshida's Palace or at least don't say it's earnable via any chests and what have you.

So my real question is where did I get it? The only thing I did in the new play through differently was I intentionally failed the gold armour soldier puzzle. The puzzle where you get the a left and a right eye from two enemies for a switch that stops the swinging blades. Does avoiding all the incorrect bad guys count actually give you a snuff soul as a reward? Or am I just crazy? Wiki doesn't have enough information on the matter to check.

The wiki says that in P5 (not P5R) there was a Snuff Soul in a treasure chest.
Could that be what you're thinking of?

I saw that too when first looking into it.It's definitely not what I'm thinking of because it's been ages since I've played the original P5 on the PS3.

I think that was the only snuff soul in Kamoshida's palace.

Might have been a rare drop from the disaster Bicorn explosion that only spawns during the disaster monster tutorial. Trying to run down scenarios where I could have earned it. But it's hard because not all the information on wikis are complete. Like disaster enemies in Kamoshida's palace don't have drops listed, and the wiki doesn't even correctly list all the disaster enemies that can spawn in Kamoshida's palace.

Talk to them and ask for item. If you are lucky, you might get Snuf Soul.
Also if you want, you could hunt down Disaster Angel for Soul Drop (10 SP).

You can get them from Holdups. Not common though.

No hold-ups are capable of giving snuff souls in Kamoshida's Palace. It's soul drops you're thinking of (10 SP recovery items).

A rare drop from a disaster shadow might give a snuff soul, but I can't say for certain because disaster shadows aren't really farmable so easily and no wiki information on them except maybe Bicorn's disaster drops (which it's rare one is bead).

The wiki says that it's a bead, can't confirm the information myself though. It's the only disaster shadow drop information I could find. I know disaster jack-o-lanterns don't drop it either because I farmed lots of them in the past (15+ curse bombs as a result). So the only disaster enemies I know of (that spawn in Kamoshida's Palace) and don't know their rare drops are Incubus and Angel. And I'm leaning more on incubus being the culprit, because I've never once seen a disaster Angel spawn (so it's not where I earned the snuff soul).
