I'm sorry, I meant remove the DLC personas with a mod, there's one available, that doesn't give you the pre-order bonuses, you can only claim the outfits and nothing else. You can still fuse the personas from DLC but they won't be free AND they are reworked to be weaker than they currently are
Insane.
OP is asking a reasonable question. They simply wanted to know why there are these OP personas because they don't seem to know why they exist in the first place. Not everyone is supposed to know what exactly Royal expansion brings to the table so it's understandable if somebody is confused
YOUR solution, however, isn't perfect at all. Those personas cost 0 yen, the best thing you can do is like I suggested above to completely rework them with a mod "Full FLC Rework" that makes you not get extra items from your closet box and not get free personas and have them reworked too
I am not sure if there is a better solution out there. I think there's only one really popular mod for this particular case and that's it, nothing more. You can't play vanilla P5 and you probably don't want to, since Royal adds so much
Yeah that really is the only way to do it is to use the mod. As since they are apart of the game you cant not summon them as they are apart of the fusion table so you get them either through the free purchase or you can fuse to make one.
Not gonna lie, my experience is ruined. I didn’t play them yet, but if they are as OP as I think, then… the heck is point in playing for the most part if I can breeze easily through all the content, or… am I wrong? I really hope so, because if these high level personas are OP now, but they are not that good in the mid-end game, then I can continue playing.
So I’ll appreciate if you can answer my question, seems like you know a lot about the game.
P.S: Please do not suggest my to install mods to disable DLCs or just don’t use these personas — I don’t like it, but I’m a type of person who prefers what games give them, so I really hate this kind of hand holding BS. I want the game to be difficult and fun, not give me free ride, no point in difficulty settings then if I can choose high level free personas.
[EDIT]
Also, this “just don’t use them” replies are idiotic, because the same people will say “if you find [%enemy_name%] too hard, instead of learning or strategizing just use Izanagi-no-Okami and beat it anyway”. This is BS. The ♥♥♥♥ Atlus were thinking.
[EDIT 1]
And even if I don’t want to use them, I already registered a few personas. I don’t want to outright remove them and shoot a bullet in my leg when I encounter a really difficult fight (since I already have these fooking free personas!).
I have only one save file. If anyone suggests to edit my saves or whatever — I play on Steam Deck, and it’s a hassle to go into desktop mode and do this save file crap.
What the heck Atlus/SEGA were thinking?
Ugh, I hate this ♥♥♥♥♥. I want to play intended experience, not this hand holding BS. Do like Elden Ring or Dark Souls, or better Celeste — those who need assistance can use various helpful features, but they are not intended experience.
Not only will these OP Personas get nerfed, but they won't be given out to you for free, they will cost money, and their abilities will be totally changed, that's why nerfed
The mod also allows you not to take that 100k yen pre-order bonus which is very strong early game as you don't have that much money
If you take the box accidentally, you'll have the money and then you can lose track of how much REAL money you have if you're willing not to go through with the mod and just play it how it is
You may be able to skip these OP personas but you'll still see them, and they will be part of the Fusion process taking up slots
With the Mod, at least those personas become your normal/average personas
That's just the way it is - those OP things are hardcoded into the game, and you can't remove them how you can remove regular DLCs here on steam by disabling them
Don't be afraid of mods, they don't disable achievements and don't necessarily ruin the game, many of them only make the game better
