OP free personas?
I noticed that theres a bunch of OP personas in the shop for free. It feels like cheating if i use them since i 1 shot any and every enemy with them. Why are they in thr game? And why are they free??

I'm sorry, I meant remove the DLC personas with a mod, there's one available, that doesn't give you the pre-order bonuses, you can only claim the outfits and nothing else. You can still fuse the personas from DLC but they won't be free AND they are reworked to be weaker than they currently are

Just... dont use them? Are people this mentally ill that they physically cant stop themselves for pushing that summon button?
Insane.

OP is asking a reasonable question. They simply wanted to know why there are these OP personas because they don't seem to know why they exist in the first place. Not everyone is supposed to know what exactly Royal expansion brings to the table so it's understandable if somebody is confused

YOUR solution, however, isn't perfect at all. Those personas cost 0 yen, the best thing you can do is like I suggested above to completely rework them with a mod "Full FLC Rework" that makes you not get extra items from your closet box and not get free personas and have them reworked too

I am not sure if there is a better solution out there. I think there's only one really popular mod for this particular case and that's it, nothing more. You can't play vanilla P5 and you probably don't want to, since Royal adds so much

Yeah that really is the only way to do it is to use the mod. As since they are apart of the game you cant not summon them as they are apart of the fusion table so you get them either through the free purchase or you can fuse to make one.

Yes, their holy and almigthy attacks look and feel strong but they're really not when used from a fused version.
you cannot fuse persona with levels above yours (changed with achievements and story progression)
You can override their high level version with the normal low-level fusion at any time.

they're only free ONCE. afterward they have the normal cost based on their registered levels. permanently.
use them in fusions instead of using them as your party.

Nothing is forcing you to use them. nothing is forcing you to play on easy. Why are you playing on easy? Everyone that whines about these persona making the game too easy don't even play above easy difficulty. 80% accuracy is trash even if you attack twice on everyone. base power of 40 is trash even if you attack everyone twice. You know maragilao is actually stronger than hades door? higher accuracy, same base damage. Arrow rain is only useful in the first two palace because everything is weak to holy for some reason. I have yet to see a palace with most enemies being weak to dark or holy since then and I'm almost done with the game. all that's left is the true end final dungeon's section and the final boss. I have long since abandoned any hope for those DLC persona because they're actually trash in the end when compared to actually useful persona I've crafted with the base game's resources.
I play on maximum difficulty because the game is already too easy in the first place. If you've played pokemon then you're already set for success here. the only difference is that there's less than half of the types.

Why fuss over useless DLC when you can craft your own godlike pixie without putting much effort into it?
The only truly OP one is the one with all resistances. Doesn't help against mudo/hama or almighty.. offense is a joke too. it has heals but.... are your allies even worth relying on when it comes to combat? If you're one of the kids that thinks picaro is OP then you'll have done nothing to make your allies into usefull battler... and you play on easy.

you know what... My pixie can wreck almost all of those DLC persona first turn. my dog can wreck them too... and 5 of the allies can stall or wreck them as well. even my level 46 healing persona can easily outspeed, outdamage and outperform those level 80 DLC. and they won't miss!
I’m playing on Normal, and I don’t know how difficult Persona games in general (I’ve played Persona 4 Golden on my PSVITA, and I don’t remember difficulty there either), so I’m playing on Normal — I just discovered these really high level personas when I unlocked Velvet Room.

Not gonna lie, my experience is ruined. I didn’t play them yet, but if they are as OP as I think, then… the heck is point in playing for the most part if I can breeze easily through all the content, or… am I wrong? I really hope so, because if these high level personas are OP now, but they are not that good in the mid-end game, then I can continue playing.

So I’ll appreciate if you can answer my question, seems like you know a lot about the game.

P.S: Please do not suggest my to install mods to disable DLCs or just don’t use these personas — I don’t like it, but I’m a type of person who prefers what games give them, so I really hate this kind of hand holding BS. I want the game to be difficult and fun, not give me free ride, no point in difficulty settings then if I can choose high level free personas.

[EDIT]

Also, this “just don’t use them” replies are idiotic, because the same people will say “if you find [%enemy_name%] too hard, instead of learning or strategizing just use Izanagi-no-Okami and beat it anyway”. This is BS. The ♥♥♥♥ Atlus were thinking.

[EDIT 1]

And even if I don’t want to use them, I already registered a few personas. I don’t want to outright remove them and shoot a bullet in my leg when I encounter a really difficult fight (since I already have these fooking free personas!).

I have only one save file. If anyone suggests to edit my saves or whatever — I play on Steam Deck, and it’s a hassle to go into desktop mode and do this save file crap.

What the heck Atlus/SEGA were thinking?

Ugh, I hate this ♥♥♥♥♥. I want to play intended experience, not this hand holding BS. Do like Elden Ring or Dark Souls, or better Celeste — those who need assistance can use various helpful features, but they are not intended experience.

I feel your pain but "Full DLC Rework" mod is basically your ONLY OPTION, I'm sorry

Not only will these OP Personas get nerfed, but they won't be given out to you for free, they will cost money, and their abilities will be totally changed, that's why nerfed

The mod also allows you not to take that 100k yen pre-order bonus which is very strong early game as you don't have that much money

If you take the box accidentally, you'll have the money and then you can lose track of how much REAL money you have if you're willing not to go through with the mod and just play it how it is

You may be able to skip these OP personas but you'll still see them, and they will be part of the Fusion process taking up slots

With the Mod, at least those personas become your normal/average personas

That's just the way it is - those OP things are hardcoded into the game, and you can't remove them how you can remove regular DLCs here on steam by disabling them

Don't be afraid of mods, they don't disable achievements and don't necessarily ruin the game, many of them only make the game better

Anyone who keeps saying we can just not use them, clearly does not understand the fact they are in the Compendium will affect the game, not to mention we actually losing Fusion options.
