Guides told me not to take the rejection gem but i already did it. Am i in trouble?

I was going through Futaba's palace and found the rejection gem. I took it then i couldn't find anywhere to go so i looked up a guide and it said i shouldn't take the gem so i could take a path. Am i screwed?

Depends which gem you took.

There’s 1 that just spawns more enemy’s.

And 2 open and close certain paths but are needed as keys.

no you are not, i didn't look any guide, but on my first playthrough i always take any possible gems with me, because myself feel i need to replace the gems somewhere later, and i was right
