Persona 5 Royal suddenly running poorly. Please help!

Hello everyone,

I've been playing and loving P5R but yesterday it began to run so slowly that it's unplayable. I'm not sure why, I have nearly 170 hours on it and it's been perfect this whole time. I didn't install an update or anything, and all my other steam games seem to be running normally. I'd like to try reinstalling it but I want to make sure I can backup my save files and I'm not sure where those are stored.

If anyone can help I'd be super appreciative. Thanks in advance!

If App Data is not visible, rick click and look for the option for 'show hidden folders'

game settings

maybe check usage of cpu/gpu/memory

maybe check taskmanger if an other task "goes berserk"

When looking at taskmanager it shows the Memory running high around 90%. This is SO STRANGE because I've been playing it 170 hours now with ZERO ISSUES. I haven't done any new updates to Windows 11 or anything, just all of a sudden it's playing so slow that it's unusable. All my other steam games are still running fine.

Memory usage shouldn't be at 90% from just the game, that's a bit odd. are you running chrome as well while playing the game? if not, I'm not sure what else could cause that high of usage. I'd say see if a reinstall fixes the issue, if not hunt down what else could be using up all the memory.
