How much time have I actually played?

I noticed Steam states a different amount of time played than that of the save.

Steam counts the time the application has been running while your save just counts the play time on that particular save file.

Yes but there are six hours of difference.

Mine has a 9 hour difference between the file and Steam's count, which, yeah, is more than I expected.

I think Steam still counts the time if you've tabbed out (to check a webpage or something) but the in-game timer freezes when the application is not in focus. Maybe that's what's going on?

It'd make sense for my playtime at least. I know I've checked the fusion calculator a couple of times while playing.

mine has a 40 hour difference lol. I have a bad habit of leaving games open while I do other stuff
