Is it possible to max out all confidants with a fresh game?
I'm noticing there are quite a few skill walls, particularly ones that require you to max out all your stats before starting the confidant. I'm just starting with Haru's part in the story, and I haven't been able to even get started with Futaba and the guy that runs the gun shop.

Do you basically have to play it all perfectly? Or is the cutoff still quite a few months down the line and I'll manage?

It is possible, and with the Royal additions its a bit easier, but still pretty difficult to do it blind. Things like choosing the right dialogue options to get maximum notes each time and maximizing social stat gains is important if you want to get everything done in one playthrough. At your point, you do have several months left though, so you can still get a lot done. If you don't finish everything, there is always NG+, where you keep your social stats (among other things) so you save lots of time and can easily finish all confidants then.

Royal has plenty of time, but read your current state, i advice just focus to party member first, i doubt you able max them all in your current playthrough, but at least you still can manage to unlock more confidants

One confidant Is capped to 5, you can max other confidants in December. You should use the skill of Fortune confidant to optimize when you meet another confidant and minimize the trips to Memento.

Haru Is already a confidant or you just defeated the palace and waiting the deadline? If Makoto and gamer kid are finished you can finish Futaba, then start Haru and finish everything without any problem.
Shopper Is a night confidant, so you meet in different time of Haru and Futaba. Gamer and doctor can be a trouble because you need to meet them during day.

If maxing confidants is your only objective then there is enough time to do it without any worries. If you are trying to maximize everything you can possibly do in a single playthrough on top of it then here's a comprehensive calendar you can follow to "do it all": psnprofiles.com/guide/11946-persona-5-royal-100-perfect-schedule

If some things matter less to you than others then you can choose fill in whatever activities you do not care about with ones you would rather do, such as nighttime activities with your friends, or some of the mini-games.

100% yes, there are literally many guides out there about it.

I did it blind and had a whole month left over, it's the most forgiving Persona game in this regard. Of course, you need to plan things ahead and keep track of how everyone's doing, when's the next big opportunity to raise your stats etc, I made full use of Fortune and had multiple save slots and reloaded if something wasn't optimal etc. It's fun if you really get into the social sim half of the game, but can be tedious and time consuming otherwise.
