There's no actual difficulty mod that I'm aware of but there are some mods that increase enemy's HP depending on your level. It really does make the game more difficult especially on bosses.

Yes, go look on game banana.

I personally recommend playing the game on Hard difficulty, then add a mod that multiplies the enemy HP by a factor of 3. It makes random encounters more dangerous as it's no longer as easy to just kill them on turn one, it makes boss fights longer and exposes you to all their mechanics for multiple turns, and most importantly it actually gives you a reason to min max your personas and have your ridiculous damage numbers actually matter.

I played the game like this and it made the first 2 palaces a completely different experience, especially the bosses, it made me actively use status effects for the first time as they were the best way to prevent random enemies from killing my party and it remained a valid strategy for the entire game, it made the rest of the game more interesting as things didn't die instantly from Joker's overpowered personas, it made me see some boss mechanics literally for the first time (previously I killed them too fast), it forced me to properly min-max my personas to even clear Okumura's palace boss, and it made the last boss fight of the game into a truly epic fight where I got to hear all the dialogue and all the mechanics (I bumped the enemy's HP to x10 specifically for that last showdown and it was worth it).

i know it exists, but all i need is merciless.
Merciless will make player damage reduce to 0,65x but tripled when doing critical hit, hit weakness spot, and doing technical damage in both sides.

Yes merciless is easier than hard in encounter random including bosses that have weakness, but actually harder in boss battle that has neutral or resist most resistance. Also only Merciless that allow player to gain as high as possible high score in velvet room battle, escpecially against full moon, it's truly hard to get higher score than 600k in ??? full moon even with broken DLC persona ( i know in YT there's someone able to pull 1M score solo run but 600K score is by my own strategy and needed help from merciless )

also doing high damage in encounter random is fun, someone also pull 1M damage against 5 enemies thanks to hollow jester.

If u wanna some challenge from this game w/o using any mods, finish that thieves den achievement (not only "insert console" achievement) then get "Invisible Veil" accessory, this accessory will allow joker and party member to be hidden from mobs in mementos and palace (except Reaper, i recommend avoid Reaper at all because it will break the challenge), then player can directly go to every mini boss or boss fight with very low level, do it in merciless difficulty, good luck!

I know that merciless is hard up to Kamoshida but once you get the tools, and the ability to tech it becomes a snoozefest. I wish someone modded the original merciless in (from base game).

I think this is the one I used specifically https://gamebanana.com/mods/408717 but I guess they should all work.

No, it still makes neutral boss easier because even if they're immune to elemental attack, doesn't mean that they're also immune to status ailments (which you can use to abuse technical damage).
