And I love him in battle. His miracle punch saved my ass a couple of times and Salvation is great for the last boss
You could've just give Makoto salvation accessory, y'know the better healer that doesn't have the endurance of a twig. Although honestly you don't even need salvation in end game.
About accessories. Yeah, it would've been smarter, but I don't like them. Accessories remove uniqueness of each party member. But, mind you, I don't like quite a few things because of its brokenness. Like abusing fusion alarm. And even SP accessories from Takemi. I know they are awesome, I just don't want to use them.
It's kinda weird, but it almost feels like...the hate has no self-awareness? Figured that if you have to go out of your way to bring up how bad Morgana is over and over, it's almost like it's an argument rather than a fact. Even the whole thing about how "everyone hates Morgana." Common sense is not something you have to bring up like that.
It's like...based on the design of the character and what I've felt, that's impossible. I wondered why no one "defended" Morgana, actually you never hear from his fans at all, but it turns out that they just don't have to engage. They understand Morgana better than anyone and they don't have to fight for him like his design is shaky or weird. Everyone loves Morgana, but it's not an extreme meaning like "you can find his fans yelling about him 24/7."
By the way, about the whole fight in Okumura's arc, it was apparently only an argument from Ryuji's perspective. Morgana couldn't care less about Ryuji, and the rest of the group only cared about retrieving Morgana. Even Ryuji finally stops caring about their fight the moment he sees Morgana hurt by Haru's fiance.
But apparently the hate of that arc comes from...engaging in Ryuji's argument when it really didn't matter. Almost like they thought Morgana participated in it, and hence pulls the "If I'm so useless I'm leaving" card... The details don't matter, what matters is that Okumura's arc is treated like an argument that "everyone" was engaged in.
It's kind of interesting because the whole point of Okumura's arc from Morgana's perspective was to flesh out his fears of abandonment for the final palace, characterized by his recurring nightmares and his weird behavior later then like "he knows something they don't." Okumura's only examined and debunked the possibility of literal abandonment, confirming the group wants to stay with him.
By the way encore, I used both Morgana and Makoto in my party most of the time: I wanted to improvise so I let Makoto stay with Diarahan and Mediarahan, while Morgana I just gave Samarecarm and Salvation. Traded in Dia, Media for Wind Boost and Amp. It's so satisfying. Though for most of the game I gave him the Skanda Belt so I can abuse Lucky Punches. The 4th party member...starting from Okumura's Palace, it was Haru, Akechi, then I jumped between Ryuji/Haru.
I prefer not to engage in those arguments, because I don't feel like I can change someone's mind. Why disturb air? I love him, and that's what matters. Not someone else's opinion
I´m bi but I would be gay for him
Poor explanation and not entirely correct. By time he and Ryuji clash, we the player had already seen several of his dreams that had begun surfacing, and the content of those dreams imply he wasn't human at all and perhaps never was. This upends his entire worldview and self-image, sending him into an existential crisis while already being insecure about the fact that Futaba's recent recruitment stole away one of his last remaining roles (in his mind at least) among the thieves. In short, he's not in a good place at the time and Ryuji's thoughtless comment towards him struck more of a nerve than usual.
It makes sense if you sit there and think about what's been going on with Mona. Doesn't mean it's done particularly well, there was never a reason for him to keep his insecurities to himself beyond his own stubborn independence.
Yeah uh he's definitely not the worst party member in the game. He's the best healer in the game and if you hit up the Jazz Club at the right point he uses basically no SP. It also helps to throw debilitate on him instead of his normal party buff from the Jazz Club as well. After that Mona is an insane party member along with Ann and Ryuji. If you want to talk about useless party members go look at Haru and Yusuke. There's always another party member that can do what they do but better.
Again, you could throw debilitate to Makoto and not having to worry about her almost one shotted by enemies every time. You need to invest a lot of time in the Jazz Club to make Mona decent and that what makes him the worst party member. Also Yusuke is not even close to being the worst lol, pair him with Makoto and Ryuji and you get yourself an insane technical damage party, since freeze is the best status ailment in the game as you could pierce through enemies resistances with it.
