Always aim for an all-out-attack if you're able, it's free and huge damage.
thank you all.
thanks for the tip! but as good as that sounds i don't wanna be too op in early game lol
i wouldn't be complaining about the one shot if it was after a number of moves, but this is literally a one shot at the start before i can even do anything. i wanted a challenge but this was not that and was just unfair. also thanks for the tip i had no idea about auto-skills.
I also defaulted to what rezette mentioned. I actually used the thing that gives everyone +acc/evasion for 3 turns (from the secondhand clothing store you prob cant get to yet). I did use the 'hide' one for Joker to make him less likely to get targetted. There is also stuff that gives you auto +def for 3 turns you can give him to make the chance smaller. And yeah Ann can do -Attack on the enemy which is vital to make the odds smaller of this ever happening. Later on you also get stuff like 'endure' passive to make sure you cant get one shot. I also got this one persona that is immune to both bless and curse so those one shot abilities dont work. Whenever i was fighting enemies that did that i would just use that persona for Joker.
This hasnt happened to me anymore since early game so it gets better later when you got more options
glad to see i'm not the only one, and thanks for the info.
screw archangel.
