No surround sound?
I cannot believe this game does not support 5.1 surround sound. This game has the most amazing soundtrack but I can't enjoy it because it doesn't come out of my speakers properly.

CAN YOU FIX THAT PLEASE? You can't seriously tell me this game has only stereo output on PC. WHY?

There's always a complaint about something stupid, isn't it?

tbh stereo output is more than enough for me.

Uh, the music in the game, and like 99,9% of music as a whole (no joke, 5.1 mixes are extremely rare in studio recordings) is mixed in stereo. 5.1 surround mixing is for positional audio, so you hear stuff behind the character on a rear speaker, etc. Putting aside the fact that this is not the kind of game where that'd get much use, your audio setup should output stereo sound to all speakers if it's configured properly.

If you're only getting sound from 2 speakers in a 5.1 setup, then check your configuration (both PC and receiver) to make sure it's in the right mode.

I play on a 5.1 speaker setup and get surround sound both on the PS4 and PC versions.

Which is to say there are some sound effects coming from the rear speakers.

Of course the music is mixed in stereo as it should be.

Hi! I actually have been looking for something about this. I am playing Persona 5 Royal on the switch and have a Sonos surround sound audio system. Surprisingly, you can hear the footsteps of the other team members when you’re running, the all out attack sound effects, and a few other things when you’re playing. However, it is a little annoying that I can’t hear some of the battle music in the rears as well 😓

I do want to note though, that, for some reason the all out attack sound effect is ridiculously loud on my rear speakers. Like it completely trumps any sound coming from the actual sound bar to the point that it almost hurts my ears and have to turn them down using the Sonos app.

imagine having your speakers up wrong for years at the same time while acting as a massive Audiopile
