Is the game forcing romance option a bug?

This happened twice with both Hifumi and Makoto no matter what dialogue I select when doing rank 9, it'll always proceed to the lover rank 10 route.

I know doing harem in 5 isnt as bad as the older games but this is still stupid.

I wasn't forced into a romance with anyone even though I did the Hifumi hawaii date. It's supposed to be the dialog right when it explicitly warns the player 'choose carefully your next response'.


I was forced into the romance option 100% in P4 though because I didn't realize an option was a romance option.

There are bad consequences in P4G? Never noticed them.

There is none, the only ones that may reverse are Ai and Naoto and those are easily fixable.
