Are you using a fusion calculator? If so, have you configured it correctly?

"Note: Don't get the same results? Remember to configure which DLC persona you own in Setting." Which is all the DLC demons if you are using the PC version.

what recipe did you use. Let's start there.

https://chinhodado.github.io/persona5_calculator/indexRoyal.html#/persona/Mot

I use this page (P5R version, not base P5 version! with configured DLC personas in settings).

What demons did you try using to fuse MOT? Did you use the base level or leveled up versions of the demons (this might change the result as well)

Just don’t use calculators. Do the calculation yourself. Pretty fun actually.

This is how fusion works without using treasure demon:

For any given two arcana’s, the result persona’s arcana is fixed. You can google a chart to see which two arcanas produce death.

Let’s assume there is a temporary level during fusion. Temporary level = Average base level + 1. Base level is the lowest possible level of the persona, the level when you get the persona from palace and mementos. Actual level is the current level of the persona, the level shown in your party and compendium. The resulting persona’s base level will be one rank higher than the temporary level. You want Mot, Mot is death lv72. In Death arcana, assuming you have royal version so all the dlc personas are available, one rank lower than Mot is lv69 thanatos parico, so 69<temporary level<=72 will give you Mot, meaning 68<average base level<=71.

So just find two personas whose arcana fuses to produce death and whose average base level is between 68 and 71.

Treasure demon is different. Personas that are not treasure demons will go up or down one or two ranks within the same arcana when fuse with treasure demon. You can also google tables to see how treasure demons interact with different arcana. Eg. Death personas go up one rank when fusing with Regent. One rank below lv72 Mot is lv69 Thanatos parico, so any death persona whose ACTUAL level is between 69 and 71 fusing with regent will produce Mot.

So the first step of doing something yourself and not using an online resource, is to look up an online resource for help :mhwhappy:

Still better than using a calculator. Your personas aren’t exactly the same as the calculator is using. Calculators only use base level so there is a good chance of something going wrong if you follow the calculators when using treasure demon. Also later in the game if you want to get a specific persona with specific traits and skills you have to do the calculation yourself.

Or make one yourself, or just pay some amount of attention and mess around in the level range. I made a chart for P4G when I noticed this.
