He may not be my favorite party member, but Ryuji is the best party member. Ryuji has the best party wide buff with Fighting Spirit which makes it so you don't have to charge before using Yoshitsune. Beside that his physical attacks like God Hand and Agneyastra are also top tier.

Makoto due to her kit and the fact that the stat bug is still in the game. +22 stats is ridiculous (tho I'm not 100% sure if they fixed it with this latest release). Ryuji for phys and Ann for Magi. The rest could be toss in to fill specific niches.

In my current run, I'm really digging Yusuke's baton pass boosted skills. All the characters have their uses and I swap them to target enemies' weaknesses.
