Beating red mist enemies in hard in a fresh game, not NG+

Seriously WTF? How you do it?

I can´t beat the red mist enemy in Kamoshida´s palace. He one shots every bloody character. Any tips?

Hit weakness and do all-out attack. Debuff his attack with Tarunda. I played on Hard and found no difficulty defeating any red enemies, even farmed them in a row.

Ok but how you defeated the first red mist enemy? he is immune to guns and my personas and party personas are too low level, I tried all attacks and he is weak to none.

Status effects like putting them to sleep can be really useful for those enemies--especially in hard mode. And spells like zio will have a chance to paralyze them. These sorts of status effects can lead the way to 'technical' attacks too.

I think one of the first red enemies has a weakness to ice/bufu if you can get your hands on one of those personas.

Then get more personas. You can find and/or make both Silky and Saki Mitama by level 6, they both have his weakness.

You don't have to. And only the first one is any kind of difficult, the rest can be easily beaten on your first encounter.

This game is all about 'hit weakness', 'if there is no weakness, use technical (apply ailment, burn, freeze, paralyse > then hit with specific attack)' and 'use buff, de-buff'. Or just bring over levelled Persona and mow down enemies.

The first red mist enemy is Berith. On top of being vulnerable to Ice (bufu skills), you can also just put him to sleep with Ann's Dormina for 3 SP, which will cause him to miss his turn. Wake him up with a powerful attack for a Technical Hit, then put him right back to sleep again.

Thanks for the answers, got the hang of it. Really spells that decrease defense or attack and cause sleep are very useful.

it's really only hard in Kamoshida's Palace. I also had trouble during his, so much that I turned down the difficulty, because I didn't think they were worth the trouble

but I put it on Hard again before the second palace and ever since that one (I just got past the fourth), those Red shadows are not really difficult to handle anymore, they just take time
