Reaper exploit removed?

I read on a site that in the PS4 version the Reaper Flu Exploit has been patched out, is this also the case on the next gen version? Does someone know?

Are you just doing it for the achievement? If so just save a new game (as in new slot), set it to Safe and do it via that, just let the game auto-battle it for ya thats how I done it on the PS4 version for the trophy.

I do remember it not working as it was supposed too compared to the original version, I think it had changed in P5R but not by much.

Normally you could despair him to dead in the 5-ish days that the flu season are there, but I read that in the PS4 of P5R it got patched out. Which is imo a bit of a stupid move.

Reaper's immune to Despair, but with the changes to mementos it's faster to just abuse Ryuji's insta-kill after putting stamps into raising the money and XP they drop to grind levels and money.

If you're just going for the achievement set the game to Safety and just auto-battle until you win.

Reaper is immune to despair true if you try to apply it yourself it wouldn't work, but the flu season bypassed this in P5 Vanilla and he could be despaired and you could powerlevel yourself for the last bit of the game, but apparently the patched it out in P5R (PS4), dunno why though as there are only 5 days in the game you could do this and all are only 4 weeks away from the "normal" ending.
