However, my main complaint with the Persona 5 anime is that the animation quality is awful. Look up some complaints about it with pictures, and you'll see. The Persona 4 anime and Persona 3 movies were a lot better in this aspect.
Why watch the anime if you can play the game?
The strong point of this saga is its gameplay and you can enjoy it in the video game, where the filling that you find in the anime narrative is not there.
Or, you know, they both support and enhance one another.
