Changing battle music

Is there a way to change the main battle theme, perhaps through file editing? I really prefer the original battle theme (last surprise) that isn't from the Royal version.

kind of not what your asking for but some of the alternate costumes change battle music or atleast they did in p5 so im pretty sure they do in royal. if your avoiding the dlc like me though then no but last surpise does still play but its a litteral 50% chance of that or take over as far as I know so your going to still hear take over alot.

I can confirm that it does work as I did it myself a couple days ago. If you just want to swap the two songs you don't really need to decrypt anything as you can just swap the file names and it'll be fine.

The two file names being 00006 and 00118 I believe

Well, you have lots of different music via outfits. Last Surprise isn't there tho, it's for non-ambush in default outfit.

You make it sound really easy... And on the other hand there is this 10 steps tutorial asking to download 5 different apps in order to make it work. Haha!

This. Lots of choices for the battle/victory music. I'm partial to Featherman

Edit: and only the MC has to wear the outfit.

I also did this, and yes those are the two that need to be swapped. Take Over still slaps as a regular battle theme, but Last Surprise is just better especially for ambushes.
