Not at all .
No, each one has their own self-contained story. Although they are all excellent games, I would recommend to give them a go as well but, like I said, it's not required.

Besides from blink and youll miss it easter eggs. Each persona game is its own self contained story especially from 2 onwards.

The persona games regularly cross over however and there does seem to be a continuous world.
yes, not only do you have to play the others but you have to play the witcher 2, New pokemon snap, Big rigs over the road racing, Mario teaches typing and no more heroes 2 if you want the complete story.
fr tho you can play this one without the others

thanks all!!!!
It's worth noting that the Persona universe is connected, but you won't really get any context for P5 by playing the other games. I recommend playing P5 first, and if you like it, try P4.

Thats incorrect, you might not run into Hitler from Persona 2 but Persona characters have had crossovers into other Persona games but overall you won't worry about knowing about the previous stories.

Persona 1 is more like PSO
Persona 2 is split into two Persona 2 games most Americans have played the Persona 2 with Maya and not the other Persona with Hitler in it.
Persona 3 is the first of the school sims and you actually talk online with Maya from Persona 2.
Persona 4 sadly I never finished but its an amazing game
Persona 5 I finished and it is amazing,
No, not at all, the games do happen in same universe and might have cameos here and there from the older titles, but it doesn't effect your experience in the story at all, all the stories are completely unrelated to one another when it comes to the characters and premises.

I am not entirely sure of the timeline on this franchise, P4 shares slight cameos from the P3, so those two stories run relatively close to one another, within year or two of one another.

So which part is incorrect?
The stories of Persona games have nothing to do with each other.

Well as for me, I am sorta late to the party, I read more up on persona games than actually played them myself. The only two Persona games I played was Persona 4 and persona 5. I'm slightly inclined towards persona 4 being my favorite from these two because of overall more interesting characters for me and the story was overall better.

while we have some things we recognize, like that old guy Igor, the stories have nothing to do with eachother, I'm sure.
You absolutely don't, but I will say it might be kinda hard to go back if you decide to play them later just because of the quality of life stuff you can lose
Just like all the other Persona games this is its own story, so you don't have to play the others to understand this
