Solution to the "cheating" DLC
Go to the shop > buy medicines until you are out of money > waste all the medicines in a combat against an easy foe.

Solved

Extra tip: Repeat the third step with the consumables you got from the DLC

The biggest problem for me is less the items counting as "cheating" (Persona 5 is a very easy game as is) and more that even having the DLC Personas in your compendium at all messes with fusion, making the creation of some Persona marginally more complicated but even then it's not that big of a deal lol

** Destroying the first Palace with my god-tier Izanagi from the DLCs + auto restore HP and SP after the battle. **

Me: Why the game is too eazy??"

You get other stuff THAT CAN NOT be discarded as well. Inventory is completely cluttered with Accessories, Blank Cards and other ♥♥♥♥. ATLUS should really give us the option to disable certain DLC's just like every other game out there.

Most stuff can not be sold, and that's the problem.

Guys, this game is easy af, stop trying to "waste" the DLC items you literally never need them anyway.

Or here's a novel idea. Just don't use them. Keep track of what you got and never go below that value. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I bought meds for 100k from Takemi, sold them to Iwai for 20k, bought stuff from him and sold it back at a loss until I got rid of the money.

Even better solution: Play on hard for first PT (then merciless for NG+), use the money and accessories as you see fit because they really don't make much of a difference at all (100k is literally nothing in this game), and finally - don't use any DLC persona that exceed your level (or just don't use them at all if you're worried about being even slightly OP compared to vanilla persona). Personally I limit my selection of DLC persona to 1 max in the current party. The QoL additions and changes in Royal affect the balance more than the extra yen and accessories do, imo.

anyone know if you still can get battles with ps3/4 cast even if you don't take gifts from box? (money, accesories, outfits)
