I just been going to the library to raise my guts. What is the best way? Just did the first dungeon.

Once you've worked your way up to the 3rd level Big Bang Burger challenge, you get +3 guts every time you do it. And if you succeed, you get points to other stats too (Charm and... something else, I think).
