Depends on where you live.
If you play multiplayer games and you live on the east coast then you get really good ping since most of the servers are in Sydney and Melbourne. Because the majority of the population live in those two city, everyone's ping in games is relatively low and even. In CSGO it's quite common to see a fully lobby of players with just 5-20ms ping.
Compared to countries that have a more even distribution of people, your ping and others may be very inconsistent.
I manage to download this game in just under two hours so it's not too bad.
