FPS/Performance issues in populated areas?
I am playing on AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB with i5 7600K which should be better than the recommended specs but I can't get 60 fps in populated areas no matter what I change my settings to. Is this a bad pc port or is this Denuvo or what am I missing here because I see a lot of people having this same issue on much higher end pc's? It's literally at the beginning of the game by the way. The dungeon is smooth so no performance issues there and the cutscenes + dialogues are smooth as well only the high populated areas. When you step out from the metro it's a small area so it's not an issue but as soon as you get to the district where the MC lives it just starts crapping itself.

gtx 1080, i5 6600k, less than 30fps in mc's hometown

Yeah something's weird with performance in this, I think especially the higher the fps you target. I'm often shy 120fps even when GPU and especially CPU usage are nowhere near maxed out according to Afterburner.

Gsync helps massively at least, I'm still usually getting 80fps+ at bare minimum. Though I was hoping to play the game at 120fps so it'd divide neatly into 60fps when streaming on Twitch.

Plus there are a few hitches in there too, d'oh D:

Well, that's Denuvo for you. Enjoy it.
Yeah I genuinely think Denuvo is causing this, I bet it's also what keeps giving me and other people random stutters in some places.

Its pretty old, as is mine, but the game is definitely poorly optimized or denuvo is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with cpu.

i5-7400 here, the game just goes to 100% cpu usage in Yongen-Jaya Backstreets and absolutely kills my fps to 1, basically unplayable. Menus and gameplay run flawlessly up until that point.

AMD users, I can't promise this will work for you, but it seemed to work for me:

Open up your AMD panel

Find P5R, click 'adjust game graphics'

Enable Radeon Enhanced Sync

Enable Radeon Chill (I put minimum to 30 and maximum to 60 for now)

This not only boosted the performance (FPS still isn't amazing in those areas, but 10x better than before), but also removed a bit of screen tearing I was having.

Hopefully that works for you too. I also have AMD freesync disabled and in-game Vsync enabled and capped at 60 (incase that matters)

5800h/3070m. So not the best CPU in the world but has been more than adequate for most recent big titles. Performance is generally fine, mostly 60-120 fps depending on the area, but Shibuya Station square tanks to 30s, and lowering all settings and resolution to low doesn't improve things. The FPS drops start as soon as the massive numbers of outline NPCs start spawning in.

Hope they give an option to control NPC density or a mod comes out or something. Not the end of the world but still sucks.

Ryzen 3600 + 3070 @1440p can't get above 25fps in menus. Opening moments struggle to get to 60. I can play a recent release (port) 'Judgment' at 90-100+ fps so not sure what is happening here.

Guys, if you have integrated Graphics in your cpu, then (For me it's Nvidia, for radeon GPUs idk), so

1. Go to Nvidia Control Panel
2. Manage 3D settings
3. Program Settings
4. Add Persona 5, then find <OpenGL Rendering GPU> and make sure it uses your Nvidia GPU

It helped me, so Good Luck:LIS_pixel_heart:

So, this his what I have:

Core i7 9700K
32 GB DDR4 3200 RAM
RTX 3060 TI 8 GB GDDR6
Denuvo

What could go wrong?
Pure Cinema 21 Thg10, 2022 @ 8:00am
same issue here it starts from the title menu its already lagging there and then ingame its mostly on the subway with the crowd, yongen jaya back alley, worst part is I tried setting all to low with 600 resolution and the FPS drop was still there!!! LMAOO
Idk how to try and fix this anymore.
I have similar specs to you, i7 6700k and a 1070 with 16GB ram DDR4 idk how Im gonna magic this one out, tried reinstalling twice too nothing happened.
