Extra animation?

Played through P5 vanilla on ps3. Still in the beginning, it feels like there's a lot more animated segments than i remember. Are these from Royal or the anime, or am I just forgetting? Not complaining just making sure i'm not crazy

Not sure what you mean by animated segments, but royal has quite a bit of content added, and some of the early stuff got changed to accomodate it. The extra character shows up in the intro alongside the grapple hook, the latter which gets used in a few palaces as shortcuts or otherwise alternate routes. Otherwise the beginning plays the same as p5 vanilla.

Not quite
I would say you just never noticed th on the first playthrough, because there is so much stuff they fill you with, that anime cutscenes are like the latest thing you will focus on.
But there are more in-game cutscenes, dialogs, etc.

So I would say one certainly must complete P5R after playing P5 not onli to enjoy new content, but fully appreciate one that was there

You mean animated/talking character portraits? Yeah, that's something they added in Royal.

Nope I meant just animated cutscenes. I begrudgingly watched the P5 anime so I thought maybe they borrowed some scenes from it but apparently not lol Thanks y'all.

yeah no, never been the case with Persona games. Anime ain’t great animation-wise anyway
