Your proc is old and don't supported by game. It's already written in System Requirements

Clearly can't be the issue considering every other game in my library has bigger differences in system requirements, yet they run perfectly fine, and don't encounter this crash on launch bug that others are apparently having.

Yes it's can. I have two PC(gamepass version). One with 960 and Phenom X4 965(don't supported with SSE) - crashing after creating data logo. PC with 2060 and Ryzen 5 3600(supports SSE 4.2 and higher) works without any issue

Are you using a Linux PC by any chance, the game is completely borked for every linux user (aside from Deck) because of that issue caused by "unimplemented function kernel32.dll.CreateFileTransactedA".

Aww, man. I saw it was Deck verified and I was hoping this would mean it ran under every other Linux distro. :T

yeah sadly it just runs on deck only, However if you dual boot and start on windows and save the game once the linux will pick up the cloud save and it runs perfectly

PC gaming has a note about saves I dont if its saying to use use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). and create the folder stucture yourself or something but generally it appears that other Linux ditros that arent steam OS arent letting the game just create the save file itself. I dont know if thats just cause of the target location or premissions
