Saving and playable without a guide?
Do you go through long stretches of time without saving, or can you save anytime? Is the difficulty fair and the systems intuitive enough to figure out without a guide? Thanks.

You can save any time you are not in a dungeon/palace. As for a guide, if it's your first playthrough, do not use one and don't worry too much about choices. Save it for your second playthrough and enjoy the story on your first. Difficulty wise, you have normal, easy, hard and merciless and safety. Normal and easy are self explanatory. Merciless is just pain, and hard is hard mode. Safety is radically different, as it makes the game way too easy and provides other pros and cons, one of which being after you choose it, there's no going back.

i would read a guide about how to unlock the 3rd semester, because you can actually lock yourself out of all that content.

for P5 normal no walkthrough was necessary, best thing was doing the dungeons fast as possible to have enough time for linking or bonding. its possible to get locked out from the biggest piece of Royal?.....was it in P4G the same?

To unlock the 3rd semester you need to get the councillor to rank 9 before 11/17.

There are a few parts at the end of P4G where you have to figure out a bunch of stuff on the spot, and answering wrong to any of the several questions (or failing to get the new social link to max before that point) will lock you out of two whole dungeons and a bunch of other added Golden content. I assume the same is probably true for P5R as well.

Thanks. Is there any other missables I should know about? Especially important content like this.

Thanks. So the game is pretty clear on what to do next, and I won’t get lost to point where I’ll need a guide to progress? And the bosses on normal difficulty are fair enough where I don’t need to look up how to beat it as well?

Safety difficulty basically makes the game "very easy" mode. It allows for you to retry battles an unlimited amount if times, instead of getting a game over right away. I cannot divulge more as it would be mote interesting to learn on your own. I still say enjoy the story the first playthroygh and don't worry about a guide. There are specific requirements for the "Royal True Ending", but I cannot be the one to spoil it.

You should not need a guide, but there are 100% guides that maximize the time to fully unlock and max all stats, confidante, etc. I suggest PSN Profiles if you must use one. A simple Google search will provide the link.

As for difficulty, it's actually pretty fair throughout the game. There's only one boss that I know of (I haven't finished the game, though) where you need to pay attention. The guide will provide that.

No need for guide Royal have lots of QoL add to save you time even more but if you really have to just prioritize these confidant you can max all confidant easily in the first playthrough

Death to 7 early on to get good sp regen accessories so you can easily beat palace in one go with sustain from sp regen

Tempest try to max it asap it save you ♥♥♥♥ tons of time while doing any other activity

Fortune It help to level up other confidant without wasting time slot on them

Sun Confidant also has a deadline of November or thereabouts, so be sure to get it levelled ASAP so you don't miss out; it's only available on Sundays and possibly a few other times I'm forgetting, so it's more time-limited than most of the other confidants.
Just do yourself a favor and max the Faith, Justice, and Counscillor arcana so you can unlock all of Royals content. Otherwise you'll need to replay an entire 100 hr jrpg again.
