Curious if this game is even playable on PC
Played the original game at launch back in 2017 on PS4. Controlls were awesome and everything was so smooth. But Re-Releases on Steam have this nasty habit of being completely and utterly botched ♥♥♥♥♥.

Take any Final Fantasy Game for example (when we keep it at JRPGS) or Nier Automata. Or Saints Row etc etc.
How will this game handle inputs from a keyboard and mouse? Or the UI scaling a 4k monitor (which are common nowadays), can I adjust the volume without alt tabbing? (Not even Skyrim was able to do this).
How about the characteristic and funky action menu during fights? Which Analog Sticks were destined for?

No article or anything adresses this. Not that I would think Gaming Articles and "Journalists" are anything else than retarded idiots.

Dunno about kb + m as most people have atleast a gamepad connected to their computer nowadays, back in the day it might work out just fine, I mean FF7/8 on PC with kb+m was disastrous, but still doable.

My guy, don't worry.

Sounds like you didn't play the P4 golden version they released for PC on steam and I gotta say: It was the best, highest quality port I've ever played. When you switch focus/alt tab or w/e the game pauses by default, like full emulator stop.

It also ran perfectly and looked amazing, (compared to oldschool P4). I'd definitely recommend a controller, but doubt it's needed to enjoy the game.

Edit: Forgot to add that the SMT3 port they put on steam is *also* pretty great. Atlus ports so far seem legit. Only bad detail on that one is that they still use the compressed music, but it's easily remedied with a drag-and-drop mod that replaces the music files.

I only have one other atlus game in my steam library, P4G, and in terms of how it plays as a port, it's alright I guess, but it's a much older game so. It really depends on the publisher; most of the games you mentioned are square enix games and I found their PC ports to be bad too (for example, FFVII requires you to make an square enix account to even play which is pretty stupid). Bandai namco tales series games have been pretty lackluster to bad ports imo as well from what I tried. So it really depends on the publisher.

P4G is good, I played it on Linux. I play SMT3 on Linux too, it works

SMT 3 HD Remaster is a good port imo, too bad though that it's capped at 30 fps, with a hexeditor you can make it 60, but it can break the game (Animations mostly).

its will by ok for mouse and keyboard controls play p4 on smt3 even switch p5 have decent controls on real switch or emu lol so pc port will by good

You know you could just use your PS4 controller on your pc and remove at least one of the factors you listed?
(2 if you have a chorded setup to adjust PC volume mapped on the controller. I do, it's PS button + left stick up/down for volume)

IIRC he/she does not have to do much as Steam supporting Dual Shock 4 and 5 controllers natively, without the use of MotionJoy.

Exactly. Steam input has been a godsend ever since they started supporting DS4s like 6 years ago (also the new ones are called Dualsense, not Dualshock 5, just an fyi)

Yeah well I dislike Sony consoles, but besides that I mostly put them up as DS4 and 5. But DS5 is supported IIRC natively for a couple of weeks now :)

Only wired or if you have a proper Sony wireless adapter. If you try to use a DS4 or Dualsense with a generic bluetooth adapter and disable Steam input it blocks all controller input. Steam knows about the issue but can't fix it unless Sony makes a proper driver for their controllers instead of using generic windows drivers. (this has been a point of frustration of mine ever since The Division 2 and it's native DS4 support)

Yeah well Sony is anti-pc overall so don't hold your breath heh.

The port was done by SEGA themselves so yeah its probably on the upper end in terms of quality.

4k monitors were already common when the original p5 released.

Controls issue can easily be remedied if you already have a PS4
Connect that controller to your PC
