Is this ABSOLUTELY the same as Persona 5 Royal on PS4 Pro?

I have Persona 5 with all DLC on PS4 Pro and played it (not completed cuz too long). Then I bought Persona 5 Royal with all DLCs again on PS4 Pro again. And played it, now I'm somewhere in the middle of the game there.
Now some reviews kinda mention this Persona 5 Royal for PC/PS5 is somehow a new, different one? With additions and improvements, reviewed dialogues etc.?! Like a definitive edition of an already definitive edition? Or not? I sure hope not, that's too much, I don't want to buy it the third time for PC and I still don't have PS5 too.

It runs at 60fps and doesn't have Raidou outfits.

And it's also sold separately for PS5 in PSN for me even though I own it which make it look like some new edition.
So they just don't offer a free PS5 version even for owners of BOTH Persona 5 and P5R on PS4 with all DLCs! Greedy...

P5R is a PS4 game, this is the same game released for PS5, XBOX, PC and Switch.

You can play your PS4 copy in PS5 I believe.

yes its the same game though, its royal for both, though PC does come with 60+fps, which is nice

Sure, but it's not same for all games. A lot of games did offer free PS5 versions for those who owned PS4 ones (FFVII Remake for example, I own it and won't have to rebuy it when I get PS5, same goes for Biomutant or Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom). Considering how pricy Persona 5 games were with all DLC on day one it sure is an obvious move for earning more cash from radical fans.
Probably PS5 also has 60 fps.

ok but this is pc and not playstation, and "a lot of games" simply means "specific ones the devs of those games chose to do it for, and none of the others"

It's obvious you don't like that article)) And I don't like this rule in case the game IS the same. If it was indeed an absolutely new upgraded version specifically for PS5 it'd be ok to sell it like a new AAA game, but it only has 60 fps so it's like a port of the same copy. They could at least make a special discounted price.

i like how you moved on from "i should get a new copy on ps5 for buying on pc" to "they should sell it at a discount"

its a full priced game, so its sold at a full price, why would you get a discount?

Isn't it obvious? Because I own it and the classic Persona 5 as well. it's the same game, not even some new Director's Cut, it's simply a port of the game to PS5 with improved FPS rate, right? On PC it's fine to pay full price, cuz it's a totally different platform, I bought Spyro on PC and PS4 too. But on PS5 that's definitely a greedy practice, I only wanted to point it. As I found out from this thread, the game is totally the same, there are no reviewed or new dialogues, animations, improved character models or graphics or anything special for PC, so it'd be better for me to continue playing PS4 version even if I buy PS5. Sure I could be considered a fan too, but I still am not content with such practice.

the PC/PS5 is the same with the PS4 version nothing changed. as why you are still required to buy it again instead of giving it an upgrade discount in the PS5 even when you own it in the PS4 is just SEGA being plain greedy I guess, no other explanation.

Identical except for coming with all DLC (costumes, personas, etc) and missing the Raidou costumes. If you already own it there's no reason to buy it again.
