I think it was the same on PS4 tho. No solution. Might be the best conditions, already. It was probably forced by the devs to avoid taking even more storage
although I wish it was uncompressed in the PC release, I can sort of understand the decision and basically just got used to it
The OP was talking about sound compression, not audio crackle. Two completely separate things.
Ah yes, the forum is so buzzing about it that I had to go five pages back to find a single audio related thread that isn't this. Crazy how everyone has been buzzing about it, huh?
Also to add in more about to this topic and thats why there is an edit. The OP is talking about the audio quality possibly due to compression, not due to an audio crackle bug that you supposedly have.
