like honestly, is there a single community that doesn't have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ people in it? if there is ive yet to see one.
people will disagree with you, or even just downright be rude or w/e, it doesn't change the game/hobby in any way however.
if thats all it takes to "ruin" an experince for you, that is honestly on you.
games not for everyone, its a jrpg, not everyone likes turn based but, you do you in that regard.
I think the fact you resulted to just posting a youtube link of your favourite c-list video game analysis e-celeb to make your points for you, when he’s already been ripped a new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for that video for the extensive amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in that video, I think the problem is that you got filtered by the game. Also, don’t kid yourself, you’ve never played persona 1, 2: innocent sin or eternal punishment, and no, watching a stream or a let’s play of the games from some snarky contrarian dude doesn’t count, just like how watching a p5 walkthrough doesn’t all of a sudden make you a fan of the game
Although If you don't like the game why are you still here trying to intentionally start crap? You're so emotionally invested in wanting to see this game fail that you don't want a conversation. You just want to start stuff. Otherwise you'd have posted this on the REVIEW page and not come back to forums after a ban. Move on already.
Could you elaborate how? Watching a game and playing a game are always going to be two different experience, the only time this doesn't really apply if it's something like a visual novel or a movie game, but even in a lot of the more decent VNs or movie games they still present different options to the player that someone else playing the game might pick that someone else won't, which could lead to stuff like different dialogue, consequences and endings.
For example, A game like Phoenix Wright or Ghost Trick, it's largely an experience that a player can go through once and get mostly the same experience as someone else playing on Youtube or Twitch, but there's still stuff like getting the solutions wrong or talking to a character not required for progression that sticks out as being original to the person playing. Now if we were to apply that to a games like the Nu-Persona, where not only is there a lot of opportunities to do stuff like talking to random strangers to get a better sense of world building or doing things out of order, the JRPG portion of the game is going to vary quite significantly, places like Mementos is randomly generated and a lot of combat decision making comes down to stuff like the player's understanding of the combat mechanics, their knowledge of the demons being fought including stuff like resistances to status effects, their mood during demon negotiation, what personas are currently equipped, if the demon is worth recruiting for certain fusions because you want to transfer a certain skill over, etc.
You can apply this kind of knowledge to other Turn-Based JRPGs like SMT, FF, DQ, PS, etc. sure, I could watch a stream of something like SMT 3: Nocturne and memorise all of the layouts for the dungeons, what demons are recruitable, fusion combinations, etc. but I'm still going to have a different experience to someone else because there's a lot of factors that's going to be different for me because of stuff like my understanding of game mechanics or random events such as fusion accidents, or my choice in which ending I want to do or deciding to collect all of the magatamas and do all of the side quests is going to make each run through the game different from the last.
Because there's no way you would just make stuff up right? lol
The game, being watched OR being played, is the same freaking EXPERIENCE.
Funny you should mention "text interpretation."
I could argue with you all night if I wanted, but that's a level of stupid I can't fix.
I played it first to its completion (didn't bother with useless Satanael or Lavenza), THEN I watched challenge runs. What do you think I am, an average Persona fan?
