Does farming xp in P5R make you over powered?
Just wondering.

Not unless you have Crappy Personas, your lv will be meaningless.

More Persona's. Certain persona are just broken to all belief. Personal level only matters for sp/hp/persona making.

Don't worry it gets hard to overlevel for dungeons. The 5th one will kick your butt even if you're level 50.

It can. You can definitely outlevel the content you're playing as the personas you can make are directly linked to your character level.

But hardcore grinding isn't desirable or necessary. Using extra time to grind means less time spent on social links.

Kinda. A difference in levels adds a % modifier to your damage dealt and damage received that can trivialize fights, and higher levels means access to stronger Persona and their skills. So yeah, grinding levels can make you overpowered.

That said, you need to spend a very long time grinding for a relatively small increase in levels (which will make you overpowered for your current dungeon alone), and simply progressing to the next dungeon will allow you to catch up to all those hours spent grinding in a fraction of the time, so I really don't recommend grinding at all.

I noticed that the areas in memetos that open up after you beat a palace contains enemies that were in that palace. After clearing the palace, you should be leveled about the same as the new area but earlier levels are generally weaker. If you ever find yourself high enough level you can grind on enemies without even starting a battle with Ryuji's level 7 confidant ability.

You gain items, xp, and gold from just pressing the dash button over enemies. xD It looks even cooler if you happen to find yourself in a palace and be overleveled. I kind of got really overleveled just dashing through enemies and getting the instant kill without battling as I search mementos for the stamps.

You are limited by your available SP. So farming is not really an option.

Doesn't stop you if you know how to Regen it off battle and not always SP is used when you can just use regular attack and gun.
P3 & P4 Particularly you can stay farming a LOT in a single day then defeat the boss on the 2nd or 3rd day and have the entire Duration Free Time.

You can get around this by developing the Temperance and Hierophant social links.

Hierophant allows you to make coffee or curry, every evening, and those restore SP. At max level, Temperance allows you to make these without passing time. They are the priority social links, IMO.

If you sit in momentos for a while you will definitely end up overleveled. Strength and Sun arcanas also completely break game balance lol.
