Persona 5 Royal

Persona 5 Royal

Statistiche:
Anyone crazy enough to own this for both Deck and Switch?
It is Persona 5 after all. Just wondering if anyone can tell me what version is better on the go. Maybe both? Is it worth having two play troughs going the same time since you can try different mixing of the Persona's and all? Or is that too nuts? I can't decide because I know the Deck will look better but the battery life is just too low, it gets too hot, no Oled, and not as portable as the Switch.

I haven't played it on switch but it runs really well on deck apart for the occasional loading screen freeze, 60 fps and can run top graphics.
on the go , hands down the deck !!
i actually partially bought a deck for this exact reason lmao
I've bought P5 and P5R on the PS4, then bought it again on PC because I just like the game that much and spend more time on the computer than console anyway. So if that counts, I've spent a total of ~$180 on this game alone. And still no regrets about it. If you like the game, support the devs.

Haha I am glad I am not alone, although I think I have gone a bit worse than that.

I got P5 on PS4 (digital) and PS3 (used physical)
I got P5 Royal on PS4, Switch (both physical) and on Steam....

so yeah...

I only bought it on the switch because I think its a bit of a novelty not sure if I will do a serious playthrough. As for having 2 playthroughs at the same time I wouldn't bother with that. Play one, then give it a while then give the other format a try.

Even on my technically 3rd playthrough (2nd of Royal) I am seeing stuff in a different light, like when you beat it and play through again you realise how obvious things may be (I hope that isn't any kind of a spoiler).

A good game can be replayed many times over and over.
i will vote Deck. Steam is my first and only copy of my P5R. Instead i play in multiple platform i am prefer playing multiple playthrough on a single platform it's Steam only, i don't own Deck anyway, just a PC, but if someday i want buy Deck i simply load my save file from Steam cloud.
Deck can run at 60fps with the graphics turned up. Switch runs at 30fps at around Low/Medium level graphics.
Its better on the deck. I played on both and performance was lacking on the switch(as usual)
Well the switch is an old console now. Nintendo doesn't let you transfer the game next gen. So SD is the obvious choice.
I'd recommend against buying games on consoles, especially from Nintendo while they're the worst out there for backwards compatibility. Any games you purchased on Wii U or 3DS were stuck on those platforms, so don't be surprised if their next system leaves your entire Switch library in the dust and once again forces you to start from scratch. They're extremely anti-consumer and their fans let them get away with it by purchasing the same games again and again every generation.

Buy it once on Steam and the game is yours for the foreseeable future regardless of what hardware you're using - desktop PC, laptop or Steam Deck. It doesn't matter. Come back in 10 years and you'll still have Persona 5 Royal ready to play.

Plus you get cloud saves without having to pay any silly online fees. :steammocking:

it's a ps3 base game, of course the steam deck can run this without issue
I might not have a Steam Deck however, I do own it for both PC and Switch. Its pretty cool to see how Atlus managed to fit Persona 5 on the switch though there is definitely major differences with frame-rate and resolution. PC/ Steam Deck is the preferable option in my opinion due to the frame-rates/ resolutions be far better than the Switch. However I just wanted to own this game physically and since the switch was the only other system I had I felt it was worth it. I even got the steel-book edition which was a cool bonus. But like said the PC/ Steam Deck will be the better option only get the Switch version if you want that game physically.
