Is disabling dlc possible?

I just noticed that my persona register index is populated by high level dlc personas that I could summon for free, is there a way to get this out of the game, I want to have a full experience without dlc help.

Unfortunately no. You can ignore box with items but personas will be in your compendium. All you can do is ignore them and do not fuse them.

But yeah, Wooshaq, I was put off at first as well but it's easier than you think to ignore them. Haven't used them unless I fuse them myself and the balance has been okay- same for the DLC accessories.

Well, thats pretty dumb, I made the whole compedium from a to z in p4 and now i want to do the same, thank to this pity dlc help i need to keep track which persona i got for free to re-register them, gee, thanks atlus.

If you fuse a gift persona normally, that fusion will automatically be filled in on the compendium. For instance, I fused Orpheus, and that fusion replaced the gift version im the compendium automatically as if it were my first time getting that persona. The price is still free for the first summon though; after fusing normally, I will then summon the persona from the compendium so that the price isn't free anymore, and that's how I keep track of which ones I've fused up until that point.

What Emerald said, plus they're all highlighted gold in the compendium. It's very easy to not use them.

I was also bothered by this. Made a mod to remove them from compendium. It's called
"Disable Free DLC Personas" on gamebanana. Alternatively there is another mod called "DLC Persona Rebalance" which also does this along with some changes to stats.

Yeah - It's a bit unfortunate you cannot disable those DLC's. However - You can make a list of what's included in the original game and what is included in the add-on DLC's

Personally I am not going to use anything that will make me overpowered early in the game. It's bad that you get a lot of money early on, but (as noted earlier) that money does not give you a huge advantage.

If you want to experience the game to the fullest, you just have to restrain yourself. A bit of self-discipline is certainly needed, but you will get a lot better experience as a reward.

Still - It would be nice if you could choose witch DLC you would like to activate and witch not. A lot of games have that option, and I think it's sorely missing here.

Because if there was some guy following me and constantly offering me drugs I'd just say no to him and allow him to keep following me, right? Not like I'd want him to get the hell away from me or anything, my desire is the problem here, right?

I didn't realise that interacting with the box would give me tons of powerful items. I want to play a more purist build without any DLC "cheats" so I had to find a way to get rid of them.

It's pretty irritating that I'm able to summon a Lvl 79 Persona for free at the start of the game pretty much. Weird design choice
