Forcing your opinion on to others does not make it a fact. It does make it a valid for full price, that you don't like it your problem, but that doesn't count for other people.
In the end, it depends if you care to have everything on your Steam library
If one playthrough is going to take 60 hours, and you want to do several playthroughs for different outcomes (i.e. romances, endings, etc.) then I'd just go with Steam at that point.
If you're a "Play once and done" type of player, then I'd go with gamepass.
