It's literally a PS3 game originally so the hit in performance should be pretty minimal.
Royal is PS4 but it's mainly just quality of life changes and some added content, graphically Persona 5 & Persona 5 Royal on PS4 pretty much looks the same.
Clearly, the OP would not be asking if he had a steam-deck.
Comparing the steam-deck and the Switch is just silly and missing the point, i have a Switch that is always docked that i purchased for the exclusive software and a desktop PC. The steam-deck literally does nothing for me.
Most people are probably like me and bought the system to play Zelda, the portability is just an added bonus.
It sure is nice to have this checkmark confirmed for releases coming out, but until it's hardware and tech that is readily available globally then it's a moot point to bring it up as an arguing point.
The Switch is a more powerful PS3 in essense, so the only drawbacks should be resolution and framerate (which, its a turn-based RPG, so the lack of those extra frames wont largely affect the gameplay experience).
