Does anyone have a clue on how to open Azuma's (PC's boss) safe? SPOILERS
When the Yakuza go into all out brawls after killing the Oyabun, I went to the main office and found Azuma dead. I realized I could interact with the safe but have no clue what the password is. Can anyone help?

I was asking myself the same , since he always talk about his time in the army during the war , it might be something that have to do with it .

Is that a clue, or a guess? I didn't really think of it that way but I can't remember him mentioning when he was in the army but I did try a lot of stuff with 7/12/1941 or Dec 7th the pearl harbor. Invaded French Indochina Sep 22, 40. The pact signing Sep 27, 40. Only 5 numbers though so went through a bunch of different combinations. (12/7/41, 7/12/41, 9/22/40, 22/9/40, ect. AND of course Sept. 02, 1945. Day of surrender. (all orders) Nothing clicked.

Thanks for suggestion though.

Maybe someone's prison sentence? Does it say Takeshi's incarceration date or his release date anywhere?

Be a bummer if all that was inside, was money.

I wonder though what you expect there to be beside money?

Last will and testament. A love letter to Takeshi, saying how he always thought of him as a son and etc. Would be icing on cake if you took him out during wife kidnapping. :alexcurious:

I'll upset you, it contains only money ) For me it would be strange to add some letters in this kind of story.

Fair enough. I was just hoping for that extra little sucker-punch conclusion to opening the safe because the only way to even interact with it, is when he's dead, right?

Actually, he was out of the office one time during a play-through (maybe a lot more if I checked regularly). Didn't even think about checking the safe that time.

Can you give me a clue on where the code might be?

EDIT: If it is tied to a mission, like the wife hostage mission. I didn't even give him time to speak after what Ando did to me.

There isn't exact ingame clue actually. It's really hard to guess it, but I like to have couple of things like this in my games.

Also, I planned to make a little quest for Kurata (your old kohai who works at harbor) to open it (he was a safecracker in his previous life), so maybe it'll be a much easier way to open it.

Once again I can't promise any new content, cause maybe I'll decide to make a new game instead. I was with this one for 3 years already so I got a little tired of it.

Even if you are tired of it, additional Content would be great. This game is awesome and the best one Ive played this year, so far. maybe Take a break and come back to it later?

I've been wanting to try from 1 to 9999 but then I realized the number can be way bigger than that ahaha.

While it is true that I would enjoy some DLC / extra content, I can understand the original vision and you achieved your purpose with the game as is.

I did feel bad after I made that list of "improvements" / request forum and you immediately shut it down. Was not trying to say your game isn't good as is. I found a lot of great moments and some hilarious ways to die in a game that represents a more honest approach to the life of a criminal underling.

Also, that the game (after the starting tutorial I THINK) did not hold my hand, was nice. Although, it wasn't till like my 4th playthrough that I realized I could give the underlings money to increase protection of my territories.

It's probably just Yeo's birth date and he just doesn't want to tell us !

So ???81. Seems highly plausible. I also tried a few others. I.E. yeo's first gaming interview date (19/05/2018), this games release date, YEO letters to number combination 25515. + All of the different sequences those numbers make up.

I almost feel it would be quicker to make a bot to go through all 100000 combinations or search the source code. :steammocking:

For now, though, I'm giving up on cracking it.

Lol nice one brother , i feel like if it's just money . it's easier to become Oyabun than just cracking that damn safe !
Here's a thought that might be a clue: Which classic Japanese Yakuza films have elements related to a safe box or safe code? Maybe Yeo is paying homage to those film scenes
