We do post several times a week, so there is plenty to see.
This isn't a challenge, just genuine curiousity, but why is it hard? Is it difficult to post it centrally or hard to remember to do it or something?
Oh interesting. So when we see something, it was already completed a few weeks in advance generally.
i enjoy steam, reminds me of older days like gamefaqs and gametz but way more whinning in every steam board, its like people love to hate nowadays. idk maybe its always been like this
best is people buying a early access game then complaining or demanding mp in games that never planned to feature it, or in the case of this game, the guy demanding everything be voiced, but i havent scrolled the boards to see if hes still around.
now the thing about voiced lines, i'm assuming since alot of the quest are random, that the npc will be random, will their be flags to determine the quest issuer race/gender/age if someone wanted to mod in voices? you'd have to record everyline atleast 2 times just for male and female versions (thats insane, also ai icky, who knows what a modder will pull off)
game is so far out from being realized that i check on here once every few months, then maybe the subreddit too.
I imagine that's something they'll be more proactive about in future. But at this early stage it's an extra salary for not much return. It's an indie game so it needs to prioritise what gets spent.
If you have looked into the Skyrim AI mod it's impressive what AI can do in that regard already. I think it's probably a matter of time and trying to get around the ethics of it to find a way people aren't screwing over each other by using AI for everything.
Edit: Of course, with mods that's less of an issue because it's generally done for free anyway.
They have platforms where they share information. Steam forums aren't the main source. It would be a bonus to add things here. But it's not especially necessary or advantageous at the moment.
Anyone doing it not to a good enough standard isn't helpful.
For example, because you embedded your reply when you quoted me, I almost clicked off of what you said without realising you had even replied.
Again, when there is more to share I am sure someone will pay more attention here. But devs generally ignore Steam discussions. And I think up to a point that is even preferable. There's too few places these days where you're allowed to talk to people without having to worry too much about a moderator stepping in. I have never been banned from a discussion board for anything. But I find people tend to be overzealous.
As is, they're answering questions people post here. That's good enough for a game which is at least a year from an early stage early access release.
Edit: I am pretty sure the update pinned discussion has some links to their socials etc. anyway.
We will of course share major updates or information here, but just not everything that we share elsewhere.
