Game Crashes During any Explosion,

Hey there Love the game Played the Demo A few times already with No problems, Now that I have bought the full game It seems to crash the moment any explosion takes place. I have tried lowering all the Video Specs and Doodads to minimum.

specs: Intel i5-4470 @3.20GHZ 3201Mhz
12GB RAM
Nvidia 8600GT 1024MB DDR2

Hello!

Unfortunately it looks like your GPU is gonna be too old to run the game - the version of Unity that CULTIC runs on requires DirectX 11 compatibility at a minimum to run, and it doesn't look like the 8600GT supports DX11.

The demo runs on a much earlier (~2017) build of Unity that was one of the last versions of the engine that still supported DX9, but the version of Unity that the full game launched with no longer supports it, sadly.

Wish I had better news - I'd recommend snagging a refund before you hit your 2-hour/2-week mark!

Hey thanks for your quick reply! I figured that was the case! Looks like ill have to look into a new GPU asap! The only other one I got atm is a slightly newer AMD one that also crashes on explosions so im gonna assume its the DirectX11 compatability.

Thanks agian for replying directly just wanna say again Even though i have not played the game completely I love what I seen so far and am looking forward to Playing it agian in near future.

TBF, the fact you got a modern Unity title from 2024 to boot it all on an 18 year old GPU is an impressive feat in and of itself.

I have acquired an RX580 second hand. Hopefully this will be more then enough to run this finally!
