As was already pointed out, little progress morsels get posted on twitter. I don't think there's a concrete 'when' yet. Probably before Gurm finishes Winds of Winter, anyway.

Steam's News/Events system isn't really set up for the kinds of posts I do, which are usually really short 5-10 second videos of something I'm working on.

Well i'd be wary due to the State of 3DRealms atm.

A lot of ♥♥♥♥ is unfinished forever or will just get eventually cancelled.

They are having a lot of Financial Problems.

Nothing against the Developer though.

from what i know Jasozz and the recently recruited Azreal (the community manager that 3dr fired) do all of the work, 3dr is only the publisher

Think of it like part 1 of a story, with a planned part 2 that is now being worked on. Part 1 is a complete game, it however isn't a completed story. Kind of like paying for just the first lord of the rings film or buying doom with doom 2 to follow later, this is nothing new and there is nothing wrong with it. The dev has been very clear with what you get, and what you do not get. From there it is fine if you are unhappy or happy with that as with any product or service.
