Who's tried this in VR?

Before I jump in and buy it, who's tried this in VR? How is it?
As a former forklift operator I could totally go for this, if it's been done well.

[Taul Power]

I played the demo in VR and although I have never driven a forklift I had a lot of fun. I just bought the full game but won't be able to try it until tonight. The demo worked great on my quest via virtual desktop and my rift-s. It wasn't as good on my Index, I had 2 left hands. Looks like on the store page it only supports oculus but I'll try on my index as well.

Hehehe sorry about the Index hands ^^ We tried our best to ship the game with that hammered but we couldn't make it D: So we currently disabled their support in Steamworks but expect full support come in patch in matter of couple of days.

Just to clarify is it currently unable to be played on the Valve Index?

I too enjoyed the demo of this, exclusively on my Index, sure I had 2 left hands but would take that over not being able to play the title at all.

Well, TECHNICALLY you CAN play on Index - if you don't mind having two left hands XD
The code for that didn't change since the demo. Still, it would make us look like jackasses if we would claim we have official support - when there are two left hands in game lol.
If that changes anything - adding full support for both Index and Vive is our almost top priority right now. So expect it fixed on rather short notice.

just played with the Index and had correct hands. But I have random crashes of the game: One time during tutorial, and one time directly after finishing the tutorial.

Does the crashing happen outside of the tutorial anywhere?

Valve Index coming VERY soon. Sadly WMR is a hard pass - we neither have the experience nor the hardware :/ If enough people will keep pushing for WMR - we might consider diving into those uncharted waters.

@Gamedus_Red: First crash at tutorial happened when I liftet the palette and drove a bit backwards. The second crash happened at tutorial, after parking the forklift.

Up to now, I only played the first mission. No probleme here.

Using the Index ... this program is awesome! Of course I'm not a fan of the Index controller "grip" control because I detest the idea of strapping controllers to my hands. I'd prefer a button to toggle the "grab" function on and off. This isn't a shortfall of the game though but IMHO a weakness of the controller design by Steam.

Minus that ... I can see myself putting many hours on this simulator. TOP NOTCH
