I also bought an NES son, should it be playable there too? :steambored:

I'm playing it on the Steam Deck. Consider it to be verified despite it not have an official rating.

How well does it run? It does stand to reason that it works on Deck, since it has native controller support but does it stutter, or have any noticeable shortcomings?

Actually, my Steam Deck is on SNES level already. So NES won't qualify. Sorry! 🤡

Don't know and I'm interested, too.

As "robilar5500" said "... Consider as being VERIFIED ..." - I assume they had no serious problems, playing this game on Steam Deck.

BUT, as there is no official rating and despite it is working fine today - there is no guarantee that the devs will support Steam Deck in future versions.

Although, I would expect them to do so - the game was released just recently and multiple updates and maybe expansions are likely to come. No one knows by now how they could affect Steam Deck compatibility.

That said, I would take the risk, myself, and buy and test it on my Steam Deck. And, if not satisfied, refund. Otherwise, stick with it and keep my fingers crossed neither the devs nor Proton will break SD compatibility in the future.

So, I installed it on the Deck and took it for a spin. It actually runs pretty well. I haven't encountered any serious problem apart from a negligible FPS drop here and there. But it drains the battery hard.

Cool. Give us an update on your further experiences, later, please. Have fun! :-)

There are instances of significant FPS drops and has crashed twice so far. I can't say that's Deck specific though. From what I can tell, the issues with the game are happening on PC rigs as well.

The FPS drops happen under three specific circumstances for me, but infrequently: when it rains, when the game is trying to catch up to you running around outside despite rendering being immaculate, and during some conversations. The crashes both happened at the end of combat when transitioning to a conversation.

To me, these are general game optimization issues.

And battery life is just under two hours for me.

Thanks for the update! I was considering this for my Deck but I guess I'll hold on until this has proper update/support.

I am playing on Steam Deck, but clues that progress the story is not highlighted, so I have to stream the game to my mac to find them, they just won't appear on steam deck, no matter what I do

Maybe I am missing something? Can anybody tell?

How was the experience? Any game breaking issues, etc?

There were no game breaking issues. There are bugs, but they're not Deck specific. They're more of the optimization variety.

The problem was that I was using R1 instead of R2.
