Q2 with RTX 4080 - Graphics settings?
I'm trying to figure out the best settings to make this game look the best it can. I have everything set to cinematic, AA, Fx, DLSS turned off. Playing with Oculus PC app render resolution and in game pixel density, but haven't had great results. Sunny areas look better, but the less sunny spots have a gel like blur. Turning dynamic shadowing on/off doesn't change it. Anyone have a similar setup? What do you have set for this game? Thanks.

My brother in another game recently had a similar problem.
He had to disable dlls in the menu of another game after each computer startup. Turn off the game, then turn it back on. Maybe there's something similar here.
Steam vr has been acting strangely for many people lately.
Thanks for the hint. I checked the Steam VR's Video settings and in the Advanced mode there was an Advanced Supersampling option. When I turned that off a good amount of the gel like blur went away. There is still a bit of it in places and more in areas under the canyon's cliff overhangs where it is darker, but a lot better than it was before. It also made other games like after the fall look more crisp vs hazy. Guessing that supersampling option may repeat something the oculus app already does.

I'm still open to other Quest 2 peeps ideas for settings to make this game as amazing as it can be.

If you have a high quality router with really good & stable wifi, use Virtual Desktop instead of Oculus Link. I have access to both and my Rig is a heavy overclocked RTX 4070 Ti with an i7 12700k and since the big Virtual Desktop Update the picture quality is way better (use the new "h.264+" Codec with max 400Mbit) than through an Oculus Link cable (even when you increase the bitrate through the Oculus Debug Tool).
In VD set the resolution quality to "Ultra".

i just brought it and i have everything max settings with DLSS turned on and it looks crisp and clean but i am Rocking a reverb G2.

only time it drops on frames is loading after that constant 90fps.
In case it helps others. I have a 4080 laptop with Q2 using dedicated router. So far I have found these settings work as well as can be when using AirLink (don't own virtual desktop, also part of quest PTC where they are improving airlink quality/connection in noticeable ways recently):

Oculus PC app: default settings
(I played with boosting these, but would need to change for different games that aren't ready for higher hz, etc., so upped in game settings instead)

Steam VR: Advanced settings - supersampling off, video/graphic resolution 100%

Kayak VR:
Graphics: Top section set to Cinematic and dynamic shadows could be on or off (not sure there is a major difference) with ripples turned on

Advanced Graphics: 1.3 or 1.4 pixel density, .5 sharpness, MSAA on and the rest off

Note: I use Throttlestop TPL settings and predatorsense to keep CPU/GPU under control since this is a high quality graphics game

And, can't wait to see the difference when the Q3 is released!

What internet speeds are you all using? I have 1G internet and this game looks terrible. been using it for so many hours not even getting to play but mess with settings. And the miles counter doesn't work or the store. Cant do quests. I have tried reinstalling many times. erasing all the files associated. removed all my games and reinstalled Steam. Im at a loss. The devs don't help. I wish this world work.

My internet connection is about 8-25 Mb, I wear green and brown T-shirts (military colors), I play vr without slippers and socks. (Everything is true)

If you need even more information, feel free to ask others.

edit:
The game looks really beautiful.
